Iina Coalition Partners
Iina Coalition, Inc. Partners
T’aa nihi aniit’ eego, a Dine’ phrase which means “to achieve self-sufficiency together,” represents an important cultural value of the People and is the basis for the Iina Coalition.
Coalition members represent more than 15 service organizations, including local nonprofit and faith-based organizations, schools, tribal programs, and Indian Health Service, social service and public service agencies.
The communities served by the Coalition are predominately Navajo and face significant challenges, including poverty, geographic isolation, cultural transition, lack of infrastructure, and health disparities. A partnership has been formed by the Iina Coalition with the Northern Arizona Health Education Center (NAHEC) to improve community health supply and distribution of professionals in rural and underserved areas. They are committed to providing student intern stipends. We have also partnered with the Non Profit Resource Center (NPRC) of Northern Arizona, which will provide workshops for community members and local organizations.
