Milana Dragojevic

Hello, My name is Milana and I am currently attending Grand Canyon University, majoring in Athletic Training. This is my freshman year and I am very excited to start with my Athletic Training classes. I graduated from Alhambra High School in Phoenix, Arizona this past May. At Alhambra I was Athletic Trainer Student Assistant which gave me an opportunity to win the Lanny Williams High School Student Athletic Trainer of the Year (2009) Award. However, even more importantly, I have learned how to help an injured athlete. I have seen a lot of injuries that I'm very sure that I'll be seeing at future sports events, fractures (open fractures), dislocations, sprains, strains, and of course a lot of discolorations and lacerations. Athletic Training has been my dream since I was eight years old. It all started with injuries of my favorite soccer players (Serbian players), and I was helpless little girl. However, my parents moved to U.S.A. to better my and my brother's lives, therefore, I'm very grateful to my parents, because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be where I am now, and that is one step closer of making my long lasting dream, of becoming Certified Athletic Trainer, come true.
